A little about Iona...

Living in London, Iona completed her Performance Degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the teaching of renowned harpist Gabriella Dall'Olio; she received a first Class Honours. During her professional career, she has received training from leading harpists such as Keziah Thomas, Rachael Masters, Sue Blair, Eleanor Turner, Karen Vaughan, Frances Kelly, Park Stikney, Fabrice Pierre, Elizabeth Fontan- Binoche and many more.

Iona was the soloist for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain during their 2022 Spring Residency of the Debussy Danses. As a teenager, Iona performed as the Principal of the National Youth Orchestra, making this a memorable highlight.

Having studied at The BRIT School for Performing Arts, Iona enjoys a varied palette of musical styles from classical to jazz and pop. Iona has a passion for musical theatre, most recently performing in London's West-End production runs of the LMTO's `A Christmas Carol` at the Lyceum and `Ragtime The Musical` at The Bridewell Theatre. Iona has been enjoying a new love for opera since working with the Kentish opera in their 2022 production of 'The Tales Of Hoffmann'.

Iona is a regular for many London Hotels, notably found at the Horseguards, Sofitel, Waldorf and the Ritz. She is also a busy wedding and events player, often too found travelling up and down the country for beautiful ceremonies and parties.

During Lockdown, Iona has created some fantastic remote works, including playing for the BBC Scottish players in their remote recording of 'The Swan'. She has also recorded for Jessie J's Musicians, alongside her own home recording bookings through SoundBetter.

Iona has taught for several years for the likes of YAMAHA, The Blackheath Conservertoire, Moosik Makers and the Bromley Youth Music Trust and is currently in the process of completing and publishing her first piano book entitled 'Moosik Makers Piano, Book One'.
