Sonata da Camera - Edson Tadeu Ortolan (Digital Download)
- Arranged for Two Pedal Harps
- £8.00
Standard: Intermediate to Advance Harp Type: Pedal Harp Score: PDF
"Composing for harp is very difficult because of the stereotype we have created: arpeggios and glissando, Debussy and Christmas carol. But I, tired of the common instruments in chamber music, try to make different combinations (even requesting Amerindian, African, Asian and unusual instruments - even if nobody never play). Anyway, back in 2018, I thought about using the harp in an alternation between common melodic style and new techniques. In the middle of the work, I imagined a second harp. Ready in 2019, it was archived here forever… But now, Becki and Lucy turned it into living music!" - Edson
Edson has kindly dedicated this piece to Becki Luff, Lucy Nolan, and the PoppyHarp Composers Project.
Performed by The Chroma Harp Duo.
