Ar Hyd y Nos is a Welsh folksong sung to a tune that was first recorded in Edward Jones' Musical and Poetical Relics of the Welsh Bards (1784). 

Today it is a traditional folk tune sung my male voice choirs. It can also been found as a hymn tune in the Caneuon Fydd - Welsh Hymn Book.
